History and Development
El Kotb Textiles Co. was founded in the beginning of the Forties of the Twentieth century. It is a family business established by the late Mr. Sadek Mohamed ElKotb in the heart of Fatemy Cairo.
The company specialized - since its foundation - in both preparing yarn and in hand weaving. The late Mr. Kamal Sadek ElKotb changed the company's activity to machine weaving.
With the onset of the revival of the new industrial cities in Egypt, the company decided to move its factory to the 10th of Ramadan city in 1986. Ever since then, there has been continuous development and expansion of the company's technical know-how.
Following the same steps ever since its foundation, the partners began a new stage of development in the beginning of the 90's of the Twentieth century. They founded a new company called Alwan Dye House, in addition to the first one El Kotb Textiles.
The dye house expanded the company's fields of activity to include dying and preparing polyester and nylon textiles for Warp knitting machines, and also for mesh, duzzel and circular knitting machines.
Management
The technical team is led by Mr. Nabil Kamal ElKotb, who represents the third generation of the family. He studied the fundamentals of the textile industry at the hands of the most famous experts in the field, at Karl Mayer, a German company specialized in the manufacture of Warp knitting machines.
The marketing team is led by Mr. Sadek Kamal ElKotb, the second partner, who is responsible for import, external purchasing, marketing and administrative affairs.
Financing
The company is one of the few companies to take a unique economic standpoint, in that it is entirely self-financed via its own resources. This fortifies its financial situation and strengthens it in facing economic turmoils, so typical of this market sector.
Equipment and Materials
To ensure excellence and leadership in this field, the company owns the best available specialized machines, namely the Warp knitting machines of the German Karl Mayer and Liba companies, in addition to the circular knitting machines of Mayer&Cie of Germany.
The company uses the best materials for its production lines, the yarn is imported from Europe and the Far East, and the dye materials are imported from Europe and China.
Although the company uses the most modern equipment technologies, and the best raw materials, it produces the best quality products at the lowest prices, ensuring the highest degree of customer satisfaction, as has always been the case since the founding of the company.
Labour
The company has a large well-trained and a high calibre team of over One Hundred engineers and workers. The factories operate six days a week in 24 hour shifts.
Our Customers
Our main customer base consists of the largest women's wear factories in Egypt, who sell brand name products world-wide. The company also supplies materials to sportswear manufacturers who export ready made garments overseas.
